ACHIEVEMENTS
Largest LV off-grid solar farm in South Africa – Nov 2020
Eco Trades achieved a significant milestone in 2020 by successfully commissioning one of Southern Africa’s most extensive low-voltage full off-grid solar farms. Situated in the Northern Cape near Hartswater, the flagship project features a 2.5MWh battery storage system and requires the disconnection of seven Eskom points, along with the construction of a new 4.3km distribution network.
Largest private grid-tie solar farm in South Africa – Sept 2023
Eco Trades achieved a significant 2nd milestone in 2023 by successfully commissioning one of Southern Africa’s largest single municipal connection grid-tie solar farm. The Itau Milling 3.776MW solar plant consists of 8460 solar panels installed on 3.3 hectares ground-mount and 1500sqm roof-mount. This flagship project is Eco Trade’s largest grid-tie project to date.
Claiming the top spot as Sunsynk installer in South Africa – Sept 2023
Eco Trades achieved a significant milestone in 2023 by claiming the top spot in the National Herholdts Sunsynk installer competition. Eco Trades was awarded a Ford Wildtrack double cab by Herholdts Group for simply installing and commissioning the most Sunsynk solar systems in South Africa. This is Eco Trades biggest award to date.
Moving into Newly Constructed Warehouse—January 2024
Eco Trades accomplished a significant milestone in 2024 by relocating to a newly constructed, state-of-the-art 2500sqm warehouse.
Groundwork commenced in June 2023, and the construction was finalized by December 2023.
The new building comprises expansive storage and training facilities, showcasing investments in advanced procedures and the education of over 100 employees.
