ACHIEVEMENTS

Largest LV off-grid solar farm in South Africa – Nov 2020

In November 2020, Eco Trades commissioned one of Southern Africa’s largest LV off-grid solar farms near Hartswater. The project included a 2.5MWh battery system, disconnection of seven Eskom points, and construction of a 4.3km distribution network — a landmark achievement in renewable energy.

Largest private grid-tie solar farm in South Africa – Sept 2023

In 2023, Eco Trades commissioned one of Southern Africa’s largest municipal grid-tie solar farms. The 3.776MW Itau Milling project features 8,460 panels across 3.3 hectares ground-mount and 1,500sqm rooftop — our largest grid-tie installation to date.

Claiming the top spot as Sunsynk installer in South Africa – Sept 2023

In 2023, Eco Trades secured first place in the National Herholdts Sunsynk Installer Competition, earning a Ford Wildtrak double cab for installing and commissioning the most Sunsynk systems nationwide — our biggest award to date.

Moving into Newly Constructed Warehouse—January 2024

In January 2024, Eco Trades relocated to a new 2,500sqm state-of-the-art warehouse. Built in just six months, the facility expands storage capacity and includes advanced training spaces to support over 100 employees and future growth.
